Introduction:

Born in 1989, GOGO Yu is not versed in language communication, and yet she possesses a perceptive mind and sensible heart. With painting, she transforms her reticence into unbridled imagination. What she illustrates may be her momentary sentimental touch or thought inspired by her surroundings. Each of her painting is as an independent planet created by her “art fantasy,” which leads us to explore the magic and wonderland of the broader universe.
GOGO believes that every individual’s inner self is a small planet by itself. Occasionally we leave the planet and venture. To paint is to equip our imagination with swings that take us away to explore a brand new world, a world projecting the artist’s inner self. And this is the way GOGO speaks out her inner universe.
GOGO’s artworks are characterized by her inimitable color coordination and delicate brushstrokes. Her “Dream” series, with inspirations arising in dream, uses all sorts of circles with touch of childlike innocence to depict the Intersection of fiction and reality. As to her “Fruit” series, she employs geometric figures in combination with her favorite motif, flower, to capture the fun and marvel of everyday life.

GOGO knows it is time to bid farewell to the past innocent dream world and to explore deep into her self. As such, in 2019, she creates with “the turning points of life” as the painting motif. She believes that faced with the reality of survival of the fittest, there always exists in the innermost recesses of our heart a super-magical being guarding us along the way.
