The year 2018 marks the anniversary of the Primary Patriarch of Forshang Buddhism Yuan-Dao Bodhisattva's hundredth birthday. Out of deepest and sincerest gratitude toward his mentor, Professor Lee Sun-Don created the original music on violin, and invited the teacher Yen Pey-Wen to arrange it into “In Memory of A Great Patriarch VI” Violin Concerto No.3, “100 • My Heart.”

Professor Lee Sun-Don expressed affectionately, "In my whole life I only compose for my teacher to whom I am so deeply grateful. When someone's memories and longings exceed what he can take, perhaps all that is there is the melody, and no more word."

On January 13, 1999, Professor Lee Sun-Don recalled his teacher Yuan-Dao Bodhisattva. Drown in the welling thoughts, Professor Lee played the piano in Hawaii and created the first piece of the piano suite “Patriarch” - "Memories by the Sea." Until today in 2018, over the past ten years, Professor Lee has created dozens of musical pieces for his teacher. This year's “In Memory of a Great Patriarch VI” was created by Professor Lee to commemorate his teacher, the second Patriarch of Forshang Buddhism Yuan Dao Bodhisattva's hundredth birthday. Yuan Dao Bodhisattva, with the given name Luo Lei, and known as Yun Feng after deceased, was born on November 1, 1918, in Zhenkang County, Yunnan Province. Yuan Dao Bodhisattva was found since his childhood to be inherent with great wisdom, having an extraordinary nature and high comprehension, difference from peers. At the age of fourteen, he converted to Miao-Kung Primary Patriarch Bodhisattva and received the great non-form discipline. After 20 years of diligent practice, he testified the spiritual body in 1956 and continued the preaching of Buddhist doctrines for the rest of his life. His disciples are all over the world.

Late autumn, night of moonlight, love across centuries, the melodious music slowly sounded. Listening quietly, across the river of time, lingering in the currents of romantic melody, classic or contemporary, my heart flows, the flow of my heart ~ "Across Centuries • Love of A Grateful Heart.”
